March Madness - West Bracket Breakdown

Here is the 4th and final installment of the 1st round Bracket Breakdowns. This is the West region.
1 UCLA vs. 16 Miss. Valley St. - I can’t even talk about these 1-16 games. No chance for UCLA to lose.
8 BYU vs. 9 Texas A&M - BYU dominated the MWC this year while the Aggies were average in the Big 12. I think BYU is too talented and should win this game. BYU by 6.
5 Drake vs. 12 Western Kentucky - Another great 5-12 matchup in the NCAA tournament. Drake can flat out shoot the ball. But if they are off - they are very vulnerable. W. Kentucky has won 17 of 18 behind Courtney Lee who is a lottery pick in the future. I think Drake hits enough shots to win and advance to the second round. Drake by 4.
4 Connecticut vs. 13 San Diego - I’m a big Uconn guy. They don’t have the shooters but they are so darn athletic and talented. San Diego was a surprise even getting in by playing so well in their tourney. They meet their maker in the Huskies this week. Uconn rolls by 12.
6 Purdue vs. 11 Baylor - I think Purdue is underrated because of the lack of respect given to the Big 10. Baylor is a bit overrated. Purdue is way to balanced and should be able to stop Baylor from scoring. Expect a low scoring game, considering the two teams averages. Purdue by 8.
3 Xavier vs. 14 Georgia - Upset city baby. The Bulldogs did the unthinkable and won their conference tourney. Now watch them pull the biggest upset of the NCAA tourney and beat Xavier in the first round. You heard it here first. Georgia by 4.
7 West Virginia vs. 10 Arizona - Arizona has now reached the tourney in 24 consecutive years. They probably shouldn’t have got in this year and nobody is picking them to win. But W. Virginia is a one man show. Arizona finds a way to stop Joe Alexander and they can win this one. Zona by 1.
2 Duke vs. 15 Belmont - Duke gets a classic 2-15 scare but holds on for the win. Duke by 9.
